Terms of Use

These Terms of Use form an agreement between you and the developer of Ridon (the “Licensor”) governing your use of the Ridon application (the “Software”).

Acceptance

By downloading, installing, or using the Software, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Software.

License

The developer grants you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to download and use the Software for your personal or commercial purposes, subject to these Terms.

Purchases

Ridon is free to use. Optional Ridon Pro features are sold as a one-time, non-consumable purchase through the Mac App Store. Purchases are also subject to Apple’s Media Services Terms and Conditions. Refunds are handled by Apple in accordance with its policies.

Your content and your server

The Software is a client for Mastodon and other compatible servers that you connect to. You are responsible for your account, your content, and your use of those servers, and for complying with their rules and with applicable law. The developer does not operate your server and is not responsible for content posted by you or others.

No affiliation with Mastodon

Ridon is an independent application. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Mastodon gGmbH or any server operator.

Restrictions

You may not reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble the Software, except to the extent permitted by applicable law. You may not resell, redistribute, or make the Software available for download by others.

Disclaimer of warranties

The Software is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Software.

Third-party software

The Software is built on Apple frameworks, including SwiftUI and StoreKit, and communicates with the Mastodon API. The terms and licenses of those components apply to them.

Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Software after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
